This beautiful hand carved sculpture was done in the late 1950's by a man named Walter Finnegan who lived in Grass Valley, CA. It was a gift for his wife Mary.
Beautiful mahogany wood grain and wonderful depiction of a stallion rearing up by a piece of spiky drift wood. The horse has an old repair at the back left leg. Stands on a platform. No signature. Some dust still in the crevasses. Measures 16" tall and base is 15" by 7" wide. Solid wood and very heavy.
