It’s a strictly regulated process that involves pressure bonding with extreme heat multiple layers of solid 14k gold on to a core of high quality jeweler’s brass resulting in a durable, high-quality real gold products.
 

Is gold-filled better than gold-plated? 
 
Definitely yes! Gold-filled jewelry has at least 100 times more amount of gold than gold-plated jewelry does.
