International Business Machines (IBM) Z2177 vacuum tube. This tube manufactured by General Electric (GE) and was used in military programs.
You can find mention of it on page 27 of this 1954 document from MIT:.
Overall height 2.5" and 0.75 diameter.
The IBM Z2177 is 9 pin miniature, twin triode tube and is electrically similar to the 5965.
There is another version of the Z2177 that has the same dimensions as a 5965

What a cool looking rectifier tube! I'm using it (with an adaptor) in a single ended EL84 amp I made from an old Siemens/Telefunken push pull. Great sound, too!
