The Lewis & Clark Expedition Series was first Issued in 2004 and the most popular of the set "The Trail of Tears" by the Shawnee Nation from this 3 coin set commemorates the 200th anniversary of the Lewis & Clark expedition Series. This ad is for the one most popular and very sought-after "Trail of Tears" single round but I do have (as of today - Oct 3, 2022) one of each if you are interested. Just let me know if you are interested in any of the others within the series and I'll check my inventory but again, this ad is for the single "Trail of Tears" 1oz Silver Round. Each coin contains one ounce of .999 fine silver. The obverse depicts an Indian meeting with one of the explorers surrounded by: EXPEDITION OF DISCOVERY 1804 - 2004

Near the start of the 1830s, there were nearly one hundred and twenty five thousand Native Americans living on the millions of acres of land. This land was shared by Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, and Florida. This was land that which their forefathers had occupied for generations. However, by the end of the decade, there were very few natives living anywhere in the southeastern United States. The federal government decided to work on behalf of the white settlers who came to the Indians’ lands. These settlers wished to grow cotton. The government supported the exile of the native people who’d lived there for centuries. The Native Americans were forced to abandon their homes and travel thousands of miles. This was to a place that was designated as “Indian Territory” across the Mississippi River. This difficult – and deadly – journey is now known as the Trail of Tears.

While there are some very tough rings that can put up with a lot of abuse like Titanium or Tungsten, all jewelry regardless of price requires some common sense TLC and in most cases it should be a habit to remove your ring prior to taking a shower, washing your hands, using hand sanitizer or lotion, swimming or while working that requires heavy hand to machinery contact or anything that would simply be abrasive. If you have any concerns, simply ask about your specific ring and ask about our hyposealer which is an additional protective coating that can be applied to help protect and prevent oxydation.
