Up for sale is a fine vintage old European cut diamond engagement ring with super 1960s - 1970s era styling. It features a wonderful old European cut center stone measuring 4.66 x 4.59 mm and weighing an estimated 0.48 carats. It is graded graded (G-H, VS-2) and is beautifully cut, a wonderful example of old world cutting, with a high crown an open culet (extra facet). It's flanked by 4 single cuts graded H-I, SI2-I1 on average that weigh an estimated 0.08 carats combined, They add just the right amount of side sparkle to accent the center stone, a gorgeous stone that is definitely the star of the show. The face of the piece measures 6.2 x15.2 mm, elevation is 6.5 mm, and the shank tapers down to 1.7 mm. We did not have the ring re-finished so as to preserve the vintage patina though if resizing one may want to plate it upon completion, a common practice. The ring weighs 2.2 grams of 14K white gold and is fitted for a size 5.5 finger.
