Carmilla by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu was the first significant work of vampire fiction, predating Dracula by 26 years. The story centers around 15 year old Laura who sees a mysterious cat-like beast with needles for teeth in her dreams. She soon befriends another young girl, Carmilla. As the story goes on Laura gets weaker and Carmilla’s behavior becomes more erratic until it is revealed that Carmilla is a vampire. A masterpiece of lesbian vampire fiction, Carmilla is one of the most important characters in vampire canon.

it's definitely worth it to try the sample. I love it, I'm going to buy more of this scent. it's too good not to, and I don't like powdery scents. but this is almost like that. but there's this warmth to it and it's my favorite scent on me ever.
