This antique hummingbird feeder is the best for both you and the birds! The colored glass deflects the sun rays and keeps the nectar fresh longer. Unlike plastic feeders the glass does not leach any harmful chemicals into the nectar. The base of the feeder is made out of a food-safe plastic. The art is UV protected with heat seal technology. The bottle is extremely easy to clean, and the flowers attracts lots of hummers.

Material: My artwork is printed on a vinyl that is wrapped around the glass. I use to hand paint each bottle but found that the vinyl has a UV protectant and holds up much better in all seasons, creating a longer-lasting product.

I have been selling these feeders for 10 + years now at craft shows as Lauras Glass Garden. I just created a new shop with a new name for my Husband and I to sell the feeders and are other crafts on too.

TIPS FOR ENJOYING YOUR FEEDER:
Hummingbirds have great memories. If replacing a red feeder, place red flowers or a red ribbon near the new feeder until it is established.

Planting any color flower in your yard and near your feeder will help attract them.

Have a source of water nearby.

Do not remove the vinyl cover as it is the art.

Hummingbirds prefer the protection of a nearby tree or the overhang of a porch. Sun or shade is fine.

Stop ants with a small amount of Vaseline on the hook.

Prevent wasps with a dab of vegetable oil near the flower port.

Put feeder out in early spring to get the attention of "scouts" who will bring hummers to your location.

Be consistent. Keep the feeder full and clean.

Replace nectar BEFORE it gets cloudy. Depending on humidity, this can be every few days to 3 weeks.

Rancid nectar and mold can kill the hummingbirds.

Never use red food dyes or sugar substitutes.

Clean with warm water. If needed, add vinegar or uncooked rice for abrasiveness.

RECIPIE FOR NECTAR
Bring one cup water and ¼ cup sugar to a boil. When sugar dissolves, remove from heat and cool before adding to feeder. To yield larger portions, mix at a ratio of 1 part
sugar to 4 parts water. Never use red dye as it is toxic to the birds,
