Description:
Dresses have always been my favorite pieces in my closet, so I'm thrilled to introduce this timeless and flirty knit dress! Don't let the length of the dress fool you -- worsted weight yarn works up fast!
Sizing:
This pattern is knit from the top down in sizes XS (S, M, L, XL)(**2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL**) for bust sizes 28-62" [72-157 cm].
This pattern has 0-2" [0-5 cm] of negative ease in the bust, 1-3" [2.5-7.5 cm] of positive ease in the waist, and 2-4" [5-10 cm] of positive ease in the hips. The ease is built in, so choose the size that best fits your actual measurements. See the size chart and schematic in the last photo for help choosing your size.
This pattern has been tested in sizes XS-2XL. If you would like to test knit the 3XL, 4XL, or 5XL size and have a bust measurement between 52-62” [132-157 cm], you can send me an email at notyourgrandmasknits [!at] outlook.com.
Yarn & Yardage:
I've worked up samples in both a cotton/nylon blend and 100% baby alpaca and I think it's perfect both ways!
Look for a yarn that's not too heavy, and be sure to block your swatch so you know how your finished product will grow.
To make the dress, you will need 3 (3, 4, 4, 4)(5, 5, 5, 6) balls of Loops & Threads Cotton Crème yarn or approximately 765-1628 yds [700-1489 m] of another worsted or aran weight, category 4 yarn.

S: 873 yds [799 m]
M: 981 yds [898 m]
L: 1089 yds [996 m]
XL: 1197 yds [1095 m]
2XL: 1324 yds [1211 m]
3XL: 1421 yds [1300 m]
4XL: 1521 yds [1391 m]
5XL: 1628 yds [1489 m]
To make the tee, you will need 2 (2, 2, 2, 2)(3, 3, 3, 3) balls of Loops & Threads Cotton Crème yarn or approximately 765-1621 yds [700-1489 m] of another worsted or aran weight, category 4 yarn.

XS: 383 yds [351 m]
S: 419 yds [384 m]
M: 467 yds [438 m]
L: 524 yds [480 m]
XL: 581 yds [532 m]
2XL: 662 yds [606 m]
3XL: 731 yds [669 m]

Needles & Notions:
Size US 9/5.5mm* 20-36" [50-90 cm] circular needles, and needles for your preferred method of small circumference knitting
*or any needle size to obtain gauge
5 stitch markers (1 in a different color or style for the beginning of round), scissors, stitch holders or scrap yarn, tapestry needle, measuring tape
Optional: sewing elastic to reinforce bound off stitches at waist
Skills:
i-cord cast on, German short rows, knitting in the round, make 1 increases, K2tog and SSK decreases, binding off, picking up stitches, i-cord bind off

Super clear and lovely pattern!

The instructions were clear, it was easy to make, and the tank top is SO ELEGANT. Definitely a nice variation of classic knitted tops and the recommended yarn creates the best silky texture! I highly recommend giving this one a go, you won’t be disappointed 💕
