This small ceramic bud vase is dipped in layers of light blue and dark blue glaze. The glazes blend and drip together to create gorgeous visual interest and colors ranging from blue, to aqua, to lavender. There is a rich brown undertone that comes through at the rim of the vase. The bottom is unglazed, but is partially coated in a thin layer of silicone sealant to prevent condensation rings.
This small vase is perfect for holding a single bud or a feather. It would make a lovely housewarming gift! Or a thoughtful holiday gift for your favorite gardener. Pair it with a few other blue vases for a gorgeous display. Gift wrapping and a personalized note are always available. Just let me know.
This signed and dated vase was thrown on the wheel from white stoneware clay, and fired to 2170° Fahrenheit.
Glazes are lead-free and food-safe, but due to the silicone sealant this piece should not be put in the microwave or dishwasher.
