Princess Athena Mira was next in line to succeed her father as ruler of Miranthia. Usurpers to the throne secretly cursed Athena with vampirism, and she was banished before she could take the throne. Created by Spike Jarrell, written by Evan Pozios with art by Rod Espinosa, this is the variant cover I did for the book and Second Sight Publishing featuring spot foil. I believe only 25 copies of these were made.

We got in a bit of a chat on Twitter, and he was game for our sketch requests (our travel companions, one each on a blank cover). And, well, the results speak for themselves. Whoa, was this a fast turnaround! Almost, but not exactly, like being at the actual Artist Alley! And still great fun!

This image is brilliant. I am a copyright attorney who has given a presentation on the history of copyright law using nothing but lawsuits involving Superman about a hundred times during the past decade, so I have collected a fair amount of Superman related art. This is one of my favorites.
