Note about my beads-

I make both ceramic beads and enamel beads. This grouping is ceramic. The work that I put into each individual bead is that they are free formed (no weighing or measuring) from porcelain or stoneware clay. (I like a more organic type of creating). Each bead is cleaned, dried and then fired in my kiln to a texture that is harder than chalk but still porous.

Once cooled each bead is glazed with a lead free glaze, placed on wires on a bead tree and fired to 2200F.

These beads are 100% handmade from my home in Homer, NY. If you have never used ceramic beads in your designs, you will find that they add a completely new look that ordinary beads or manufactured ceramic beads cannot do.

Each is individually crafted.
