Vegetable Glycerin
Glycerin Vegetable USP Food Grade - NON GMO - Pure 100% USP food grade vegetable glycerin. Vegetable glycerin is a natural emollient that adds a cooling effect on the skin and has become a predominant ingredient in most skin care products and soaps. It is used in cosmetics and body care products to assist in retaining moisture and is helpful in pulling oxygen into the skin. Vegetable glycerin is also the principal medium for the manufacturing of non-alcohol based herbal extracts, which are called glycerites.
Cleansing Oils: Vegetable Glycerin is a great base for facial cleansing oils, naturally hydrating dry skin with a pleasant cooling Skin and Hair
Moisturizer: As a humectant, it's great for overall skin and hair hydration Uses for Household: Used to grease cupcake pans and molds for easy removal after baking as well as the preserving of fruits and vegetables DIY Projects: Create homemade shampoos, sunscreens, lotions, soaps, toothpastes, candies and baked treats.
Because bulk glycerin is readily available and cheap, it’s uses are countless. Here at Plant Guru Inc, we only use the highest quality pure vegetable USP glycerin which is one thing that makes us stand out from some of our competition. Some of our competitors use the waste byproduct from local bio diesel manufacturer’s which is common, but also very dangerous. Without proper preparation, it is possible for lower grade glycerin to have unwanted additives that are undesirable for personal care products. Because of this, we highly recommend, that if you are going to manufacture your own product you only use a very high grade USP or food grade bulk glycerin from a reputable supplier.
Propylene Glycol USP / Food Grade
Common Use: Heat Transfer Fluids, Fragrance, Cosmetics and Personal Care, Food and Flavorings, Pet Food/Animal Feed.
What is Propylene Glycol: Propylene glycol is a clear, colorless, slightly syrupy liquid at room temperature. It may exist in air in the vapor form, although propylene glycol must be heated or briskly shaken to produce a vapor. Propylene glycol is practically odorless and tasteless. Propylene glycol is a chemical made by reaction of propylene oxide with water. Propylene glycol has had an unsurpassed reputation for safe use in a wide range of consumer products, including food products, animal feed, cosmetics and more. It’s used as a stabilizer (to keep things held together, and keep them from evaporating), and to keep foods moist. It’s used in many of the foods that we eat, and the FDA deems it safe for human consumption.
