Shaving Bowl Pre-order

Shaving bowls were a popular item, so I'm offering a pre-order option. I will be able to start shipping them within three weeks (starting on Jan 12). I'm going to keep these at the sale price of $34 (even after my winter sale ends). You can choose a color option - most of them are represented in the photos. but if you want to see how they turn out, I can send you pictures of the finished shaving bowl before I ship them. Just choose "I want pics" for the color option. ;-)

These are handmade shaving bowls for creating a thick lather with shave soap. I throw these bowls on the potter's wheel, add texture with wet clay, then glaze them with a blend of commercial and homemade glazes. They are large - about 5" wide and 3" deep. The texture helps build lather, and also makes the flow of glaze more interesting. The texture inside is medium depth, and there are no sharp points or edges. The handle is comfortable to hold with two fingers, or you can hold the base in your palm and slip your thumb into the handle. This bowl has an inward curving lip that helps keep the lather from overflowing the bowl.

My functional pottery is made with food-safe glazes and is microwave and dishwasher safe.
