This 2 year old blackberry plant produces sweet, extra large berries.

Great for jams and jelly, and of course for eating! I sometimes mix other berries in when I’m making jam if I don’t have enough blackberries. I’ve added raspberries, blueberries, and also wine grapes and achieved a unique, rich flavor that my family loved!

Your blackberry plant will arrive wrapped in a newspaper cylinder rather than a plastic container(I love to recycle!) that can be planted directly in the ground without removing. It will be cut back to 8" tall before shipping. This is a healthy, well-rooted half-gallon sized plant that will bear fruit next year. Let us know if you need several for your garden, we have many available!

DESCRIPTION AND GROWING INFORMATION
This variety of self-pollinating (this means you only need one plant to get big, juicy berries!) deciduous shrub grows 5’ high by 8’ wide. Needs full sun and regular water for largest harvest. Late spring flowers yield large, succulent blackberries in late summer. Cut back oldest canes every other year in winter to promote new spring growth. Water new planting regularly for at least six weeks until established, especially when transplanting in late summer. Keep 3-4” of mulch, leaf mold or compost around roots. Planting with a trellis, fence or stakes will help to keep plant upright when laden with fruit. Fertilize in early spring before flowering and in fall after harvest is over.
