What are Scent Notes?

Fragrances have three types of notes, a top note, a middle note, and a base note. A top note is the first scent you ‘experience’ when the cube first begins to melt or when you smell it when it is unmelted. The middle notes are the scent results after the top note has faded a little. This scent that you experience consists of the middle notes of the wax melt fragrance. Finally, the base note, which are the scents that reveal itself as the wax is at a full melt pool. So what is the true and actual scent of the candle? That would be the mix of the middle notes and base notes.

How long will 1 cube last?

Up to 1 week! Personally, I replace my melts every Sunday while cleaning the house. I also leave my warmers on 24/7. This is all personal preference, of course. I have heard feedback that people prefer to change their wax daily. Because these melts are twice the size of standard melt packs and stronger scented, I would not recommend that. You will find, these melt will last you 4-7 days depending on personal preference!

Soy wax is completely natural and is made from American farmers soybean crops. Soy bean wax is 100% environmentally friendly, sustainable and renewable without any chemicals or harmful additives. It is clean burning, lead free, and as such, has a much higher throw than any other candle. It has a creamy white appearance and gives an evenness of burn and wax consumption. Our wax melts are toxin free, paraben free, and phthalate-free.

Why is using natural Soy wax so important?

Most wax melts/candles are made with paraffin. Paraffin is the most widely used wax for a lot of wax melts/candles because of it’s low cost and optimal scent throw (how much you smell both when the candle is lit and when it’s cool). Paraffin wax is derived from petroleum as a byproduct of the refining process and tends to cause more concerns in the long run. In an effort of Sweet Home Wax Co. to carry as much clean products as we can, we went the route of 100% soy wax!

Why does the wax look bumpy and not smooth when opened?

Bumpiness is a common characteristic in 100% natural soy wax. It is not caused by anything in the process of making the wax melts. The bumpy surface occurs when the rate of cooling is inconsistent and unfortunately it's difficult to control in the creation process. The great news is that this is a by-product of all natural wax and does not affect the performance of the fragrance. We like to view this as a benefit factor for our wax melts. This is a great way to identify that your wax melts or candles is 100% natural soy wax.

Safety & Instructions

Remove from package and place in warmer. Only use In tea-light warmers or UL listed electric warmers approved for wax melts. Read and follow all instructions provided with your warmer before use. Do NOT leave melter unattended while in use. Keep out of reach of children and pets. DO NOT EAT. Do NOT add water. Do NOT melt on stove top or non-approved appliances. Use only in well ventilated areas and away from flammable objects, material, or surfaces.

Loved this idea so I can sample all the fall scents! Sample sizes are good size and with them individually packaged the scents didn’t intertwine! Will buy from again!! Great quality!
