The Constellation block first appeared in 1963. It is quite a 'modern atomic' burst and is used heavily in ecclesiastic mid century architecture. This pendant is comprised of 4 substantial STERLING SILVER blocks and it 'hand built.'

Pendant is approximately 2 1/4 inches long by 2 inch wide. This pendant comes on an 18 inch sterling chain.

A bit of history on breeze blocks:

Breeze or screen block exploded onto the architectural scene in the late 1950s (propelled by architect Edward Durell Stone), reached its peak at the 1964 New York World’s Fair. The use of the blocks started to decline in the 1970’s but are seeing a resurgence in both interior and exterior use.
