This is the ★Granny Square Cardigan★. A colorful creation of granny squares. A project with countless color options. It is a combination pattern, in which the front and back pieces are crocheted. The sleeves and the hem are knitted.
This combined pattern is DUTCH. There's one in English available in my Etsy shop.
It is not a complicated pattern, but you do need some knowledge of crocheting and knitting. The techniques you need for this pattern are:
• Crochet Magic Ring (Granny Squares setup)
• Loose hooks
• Crocheting sticks
• Crochet slip stitches / single crochets
• Crochet / put grannies together in your favorite way
• Neatly hide threads
• Pick up stitches all around with circular needles
• Pick up stitches with straight knitting needles
• Knit (R) and purl (AR) rows alternated (stocking stitch)
• Rib 2/2 (alternate 2 knit stitches and 2 purl stitches in one round)
• Chamfer
The 9-page PDF pattern describes one size (one size = S/M/L/XL). The cardigan has an oversized fit in size S and an almost normal fit in size XL. You need a 5 mm crochet hook / 8 mm straight knitting needles / 5.5 mm and 8 mm circular knitting needles.
Further information is described in the pattern. If you have any questions, please send a message. After ordering this product, you will receive a digital pattern with which you can make your own cardigan. You will not receive a ready-made product!
