Item details

Vintage from before 2000

Handmade

Materials

wood, hackberry, purple heart, wenge, satinwood, walnut

I call this my “Bright Cribbage Board” because of the bright colors of some of the wood. It measures 13” x 5” and is about 7/8” thick. There are 184 pieces on it. The design at each end has 32 half size pieces where I would normally have 16 full size pieces.

In the side are 2 holes with one opening to store the pegs in. There are 2 turned brass pegs and 2 turned aluminum pegs. They show in the picture on the board at one end. Or you can carry the pegs in a ring box that matches the design on this cribbage board which is available.

On the bottom I signed it, listed the wood, and dated it. This cribbage board was made in 1999. After the date, the words “Foot Cut” let you know I made it on a foot powered table saw. The light wood in the center of the star is “Hackberry” from Missouri, then “Purpleheart” from Central or South America, “Wenge” from West Africa, “Satinwood” from Brazil, and Walnut” from Missouri.

Go to my ”Shop Polices” and “Profile” page to see my return policy and other information on how I make these. To see other cribbage boards I’ve made, click on “Game Boards” or whatever gets your interest under “Sections in this shop”. The “Home” page itself can be rather confusing with everything mixed up. The “Sections in this shop” lets me show you all like items together as a unit.

Payment can be made using Pay Pal for immediate shipment, money order or check. Checks will have to clear before shipment is made.

Additional policies

Why are some of these things so old?

I did shows for 16 years, then had to stay closer to home as both my and my wife’s folks were living with us and needed more care. I made a lot of my things at shows and would finish them up at home. This way I built up quite an inventory of goods I would pack away in boxes. These are not like cars that wear out with age. They just set in a box and stay new. If when you get it, it is not what you want I have a very good return policy above.
