Is 92.5% sterling silver jewelry hypoallergenic?

All silver earrings unless otherwise stated are made of solid 925 Sterling Silver and are hypoallergenic unless in very rare cases of extremely sensitive individuals. 92.5% is the highest amount of silver that can be used without the silver becoming too malleable. The other 7.5% is made of zinc alloy metal that is also non-toxic and hypoallergenic. Rose gold and gold have a mix of gold and copper coating over the sterling silver. If you have sensitive ears, we recommend silver colored jewelry.

How fast do you ship?

All orders ship same day, or within one to two business days Monday through Saturday. We go to a further post office that opens to ship every Saturday so you can get your order as soon as possible. :)

Do earrings come in a pair?

Yes, all earrings come in a pair unless otherwise stated specifically in the listing.

Do all earrings come with earring backings?

Yes, all earrings come with matching 92.5% sterling silver, gold, or rose gold butterfly backings. We will also include an extra pair of clear rubber backings for you. The only earrings that will not include sterling silver backings will be those that contain a screw ball backing that twists on and off of the earring post. Those listings will specifically state that they include ball backings.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Each pair of earrings are gift ready and includes a gift box with bow.

Does 92.5% sterling silver tarnish?

Yes, sterling silver can tarnish over time through natural oxidation that occurs when it reacts with oxygen, moisture, and sulfur in the air, resulting in a dark or dull film. However, this tarnish is not permanent and can be easily removed by polishing. There are special sterling silver polishing cloths available specifically to remove this tarnish. Also baking soda, salt, and aluminum foil work! Check our other FAQ to learn this cleaning process in more detail. :)

How do I clean the tarnish off my sterling silver jewelry?

This process is for 92.5% sterling silver. Please do not use on non-silver colored jewelry with gold or rose gold top coating. Mix approx 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of salt into 2 cups of boiling water. Line a bowl with aluminum foil (shiny side up), put the sterling silver onto the foil and then pour the mixed solution into the bowl, making sure to cover the top of the jewelry with water. Ensure that the aluminum foil is touching all silver items. Wait about 3 to 5 minutes, at most up to 30 minutes. The tarnish should start to transfer to the aluminum foil (and may give off a sulfuric smell which is normal). Repeat if necessary, run the silver through clean water, and then gently towel and air dry. Happy cleaning! :)
