This large paella pan was designed by Michael Lax for Copco in the 60s. It's made of cast iron with an enamel finish---white on the inside and a deep, bright blue on the outside. It's all graceful curves with integral handlesl No straight lines at all. The cast iron is pure utility but the style makes it a perfect centerpiece for your table or buffet.
It measures 14" in diameter across the top and 16 1/2" from one handle to the the other. (These were made in two sizes; this is the larger size.)
Marked "Copco - Designed by Michael Lax - Made in Denmark".
It is quite heavy---8 3/4 lbs just by itself! If you live near 21044 you're more than welcome to pick it up in person to save the shipping costs.
Condition: there is one 1/8" enamel chip on the edge of one handle (see photo). There's another 1/8" chip on the inside below one handle (see photo). The outside bottom has some discoloration from use but no rust. Overall very good used condition.
This can go from oven or stove to table. Hand wash only, do not let it sit in water for long or the bottom will rust. Do not use anything abrasive on it.
