What means "antique" or "vintage"?

Antique jewelry has a history of more than one hundred years, while vintage jewelry is at least a few decades old. We use the following classification criteria: antique: no later than the 1920s (1920s). vintage: from the late 1930s to the present.

How do you evaluate the condition of an item?

The condition evaluation system we apply in description is as follows: Unused: no signs of use, brand new; Very good: considering its age, the item is still in very good condition; Good: good condition with minor defects, but not affecting use, absolutely wearable; Acceptable: signs of wear are clearly visible, there are defects or flaws; Damaged: significant damage, generally affects use. All items in our store are sold as is. Minor signs of wear and use will not be listed separately in the description, as they are typical for antiques and vintage items, but major defects will be always clearly stated.

Do you offer ring resizing service?

Unfortunately we are currently unable to offer you a ring resizing service. We recommend that you purchase the item first and try it on to see if you like it, and then resize the ring at your location. --This is also the approach we generally recommend. Different jewelry stores have different measurement systems, and small deviations between them may lead to results that don't fit perfectly.Therefore, it is better to go to your trusted local jewelry store and measure in person to get a satisfactory alteration result.

What's the return- and refund policy in your shop?

Our consumers have the right to request a return within fourteen (14) days from the date of signed delivery. In order to make use of your return rights, you need to send us an email in advance. You will be informed of the return address and instruction. We DO NOT offer returns for items that: -Not notified to us by email prior to the return. -The item is not in its original condition: including but not limited to damage, bending, scratches and any signs of wear or use. Return costs (return shipping costs and costs incurred by customs, etc.) are your responsibility and are not refundable.

How should I take care of my antique jewellery?

Most antique jewelry is not suitable for 24*7 day and night wearing. They should not be worn during sports, dancing, houseworking or gardening. Be careful and gentle at all times. Do not use brute force when opening and closing. In general, each piece should be stored separately, so as to avoid damage from friction. All gemstones foiled or in closed back setting must be kept away from any contact with liquids. Otherwise it will cause permanent and irreversible damage. Organic stones (pearls, coral, amber, etc.) should be kept away from contact with acids and alkalis or liquids. It is recommended to wipe them with a soft cloth after each wear before storing them.

How to clean my antique jewelry?

Antique jewelry should not be cleaned with ultrasonic cleaners. If contact with water is allowed for this material, the best way to clean at home is to use warm water with mild neutral detergent (such as neutral dishwashing detergent) and a soft brush. Don’t use any toothpaste. If contact with water is not allowed（e.g. closed setting), please clean with a professional jewelry cleaning cloth gently.

This beautiful and good preserved hair comb dates back to the 1860s.
The heading is attached to the comb mount by a small metal hinge, which enables the heading to rotate. Both the heading and the teeth parts are made of dyed horn.
The heading has beautifully hand- pierced patterns. A piece of pressed horn in the form of a daisy flower was fixed by a screw in the center of the heading. The comb mount has seven teeth. Both the teeth mount and the heading are gently curved giving a comfortable and secure fit to the skull.
Thanks to the curving form and the flexible hinge this comb could be worn in a number of different ways. It could have been worn on the front of the hair as a mini tiara. Another way was to place them within the chignon, while the heading folded down.
