Make your first patchwork quilt!
The instructions are for an easy patchwork quilt which is finished without a binding,
but binding instructions will also be included in a separate PDF file for those who wish to have make a bound edge. Use the little quilt as a table topper, place mat or dolls bed blanket.

The finished size is 12” by 15” (30cm x 38cm)

Requirements List:
20 x 3½” squares of patchwork cotton fabric.
14” x 17” piece of fabric for the backing.
14” x 17” piece of batting for inside.
Sewing thread and a sharp needle.
For finishing, by tying knots or quilting through the fabric layers:
Embroidery thread (6-stranded DMC) plus needle to fit, for tying or hand quilting thread and a suitable needle for quilting.

Also needed:
a basic sewing kit with pins, safety pins & good scissors, an iron, template plastic or cardboard, a soft pencil (2B) and a school rule.

Optional: Point turner
