Louisa and Matthew are such sweet twin siblings, strong and sure, holding hands and looking, bright-eyed, off into the future...

This original mixed-media collage was created using the following sources: the vintage image of a pair of children cut from a 1937 McCalls magazine fashion layout; text cut from an ad in a 1932 McCall's magazine (I believe it came from an ad for cod liver oil); green fabric leaves from a faux flower; a sort of stripey red & gold fabric from a fabric sample book purchased at a thrift shop.

The image of the children, the text and the leaves are decoupaged directly onto the glass, from behind. The background fabric is wrapped around the cardboard insert that came with the frame, and a coordinating fabric has been glued onto the back of that cardboard. The frame itself was purchased at a thrift shop. The frame measures 5 inches by 7 inches, and has a hole drilled into the back so that you can hang it on a nail.

I will be listing three other framed collages of this type; if you purchase more than one (or if you purchase an ACEO), I will be happy to combine shipping. If you require international shipping, please convo me to let me know the country where you are located, and I will work out the shipping cost.
