Vintage from the 18th century
Materials: pewter

Pewter plate with blue-grey patina stamped on reverse with insignia depicting : 4 crowns / NM (?) / 1750 / trefoils / CBN (?) / shield .

Its provenance is likely British or Dutch.

I have looked in vain for the identity of 'CBN' (or perhaps, JBN?), but it will take an expert on pewter to identify the maker.

This plate is extensively worn. It should be noted that pewter can be hazardous. As an antique, this item must never be put in dishwasher or microwaved.
