This is a fine art Giclee print of the original painting. This giclee print uses archival pigmented inks with the highest level of color gamut available in printing (12 color printing). It is printed on your choice of Archival Matte Paper or Artisan Archival Canvas on Gatorboard

Your choice of materials:
Archival Matte Paper - is a heavy stock acid-free paper - a favorite for fine art reproductions and photo prints. It features a smooth surface, heavy weight (230 g, 9.5-mil), neutral white, matte paper engineered for accurate color reproduction that provides high contrast and high-resolution output. This paper is acid-free making it the perfect choice for both photography & fine art reproductions. The print includes a one inch extra border which provides flexibility for the mounting style that you choose.

Artisan Archival Canvas on Gatorboard
The finished print has a sating (low glass level) appearance ideally suited for both art reproductions and photographs. The superior poly/cotton blend, 2-over-1 canvas is specially engineered to create beautiful prints providing a wide color gamut, exceptional contrast with a consistent canvas texture. Due to the durable nature of the inks, prints are both scratch and smudge resistant without the need to be coated. Your print will be flush mounted/borderless to this 3/16” thick board. Light weight, and rigid gatorboard is a remarkable improvement to standard foam core. Gatorboard is now the favored alternative to foam core among many artists and photographers.

The original painting was created from a collection of studies that I did to come up with the final painting. I have made many trips to the hill country of Texas during the Springtime to capture the rugged beauty of the Texas Bluebonnets.

The painting was photographed with a high resolution camera and color corrected to insure that it closely resembles the original painting in color and texture.
