Hard rubber antique buttons Goodyear molded bracelet jewelry civil war era 1800's unusual Big Book of Buttons black

Hard rubber buttons date back to the mid 1800's. Patents were issued to many companies to produce these, but the most familiar manufacturer is probably Goodyear. These are larger than most that were produced back then, these measuring about 1 1/4" in diameter.

Please look at the pictures closely. The surface shows signs of wear in a few places, but worthy of showcasing them here, to be sure.
