This print done from the original painting, 16”x12” oil on gallery wrapped canvas, was born from not only my personal memories of Lake Pontchatrain and so many days spent sunbathing in my teen years, but a wish from many of my peers and schoolmates that this iconic remnant of these fishing buildings and peer still existed. It was also a point of reference such as “meet me on the lakefront, near the shack”. It was a destination. (Print only ~ frame not included)
I felt an want to immortalize it in oil paint on canvas. Even though I never had the courage to swim out to the shack and jump off the top, many of my friends did. My time was better spent under the giant boughs of the old oak trees and observe the moss hanging so eloquently. When hurricane Katrina hit Louisiana, it took what was left of it.
🖼️. I’ve put all those memories in one painting and now can offer the finest archival print available in Giclee prints, both Moab bright art paper and Lyve canvas. Giclees (French meaning to spray) are made with 12 or more ink cartridges of highly pigmented ink and a protecting UV coat is added so it will last lifetimes.
📝 Always added is a Certificate of Authenticity in archival ink so it will also last. All giclee prints are hand signed in my studio and ship from my studio.
If you have any custom needs, sizes, stretcher bars, etc. just message me and we can arrange to suit your needs.
🔹8x10’s ship in flat mailer
🔹Canvas ship in rolled tube mailer. When you receive, roll open, it will want to curl up, and lay flat and weight down with clean, heavy books for a few days and it will flatten.
🔸 Frame NOT included~~These prints need framing customary of paper and canvas prints. I can always make suggestions if you need them.
