Gambiered Canton Silk is well known as “soft gold silk”,in addition to general characteristics of silk,the traditional manufacturing of gambiered canton silk needs a unique plant named dioscorea cirrhosa, which is rich in tannins makes the fabric stronger in fiber toughness,and the various trace elements it contains are good for human skin.The juice of dioscorea cirrhosa, where the fabric should be dip-dyed and dried several times before attached to a layer of yellow brown jelly. then insolating under the burning sun, total 16 processes of manual techniques carried out for dyeing which have been handed down for hundreds of years. As a costly silk products, Gambiered Canton Silk was regarded as the best of Chinese silk goods.

Gambiered Canton Silk is a hand-dyed textile with a history of 500 years fromChina. It takes pure silk as ground, using a special plant in Southern China---Shuliang as dye; after 14 dying procedures including squeezing, soaking, drying the sun, rubbing with river silt etc. The fabric is soaked and dried in the sun for more than 30 times, and it could only be done from March to November inCanton. The Gambiered Canton Silk produced is black one side, and dark brown another side: the black side is smooth and bright like leather; the brown side is soft with natural turtle pattern like antique pottery. This kind of silk is also anti-allergy and anti-itching thanks to the herbal nature of Shuliang.

***Bust:
Wrap tape measure under the armpits, around the fullest part of the bust.

***Waist:
Wrap tape measure around where you normally wear your pants.

***Hips:
Stand with legs about 6 inches apart and measure around the fullest part of the hips (usually about 7-10 inches below the waist).

***Shoulder Width:
Stretching the measuring tape across the back, from the very end of the left shoulder to the end of the right shoulder.

***Armscye:
Wrapping the tape measure from the top of the shoulder, down beneath the armpit and back up to the top of the shoulder.

*** Bicep Girth/Upper Arm:
Measure around the widest part of your bicep/upper arm, so that the tape meets on the outer part of the bicep.
Wrapping the tape measure from the top of the shoulder, down beneath the armpit and back up to the top of the shoulder.
