My brother used to keep a flock of chickens and hens in his house in Borneo. We would connect with them weekly through a video camera, watching as they hopped onto my brother's hand to enjoy freshly picked sesame from the plants. As night fell, they would gather outside my brother's bedroom and sleep on a horizontal wooden surface. This scene was so charming that I felt compelled to paint it. Bringing this artwork into your home will infuse a sense of countryside cottage living into your space.
