This is a bubinga bowl/dish which I turned, oil rubbed and waxed to a satin finish. Bubinga, from western Africa, is also known as African Rosewood which is primarially used as veneer for high end furniture. The bowl stands 2 inches tall and has a diameter of 7 1/4 inches.

Larry Fritz, the artist, is a self-taught wood-turner, lathe artist and craftsman, originally from Northwestern Ohio. He has honed his skills for over fifty years.

He produces a variety of work including one-of-a-kind bowls, platters, vases, hollow vessels and gift items at his residence in Texas. His clients reach around the world.

All of his work is crafted from reclaimed domestic and hardwoods and other unique and exotic woods, frequently incorporating natural inclusions as design elements. Item #151
