Memory Squirrels are made from your loved one's clothing.
These are wonderful keepsakes for anyone who has experienced a loss.

Safety Eyes & felt nose

I use as much of the detail in the fabric as I'm able.... buttons, logos, patches etc.
All animals are stuffed with soft cluster fiber fill and are soft and huggable.

All fabric is backed with an iron on fusible interfacing.
When you place the order, you can let me know if you'd like the extra scraps/pieces sent back.

The best fabrics for these squirrels are:
Cotton button downs
T-shirts
Flannel Pajamas
Flannel overshirts
Polo shirts

Please do not send:
Silky or satin material
Loose knit fabric - SWEATER material unravels
Thick materials - Plush robes make my sewing machine angry :)
Spandex type
Thick material


Process:

1. Once I receive notification of your paid purchase, I will send you an Etsy conversation with my studio address.

2. When I receive your items, I will let you know they have arrived.
-Please include your name inside the package.
-Also, make sure to check emails/Etsy conversations, as I will likely reach out to you for details on the creation of your squirrel :)

3. You'll get an email/Etsy message from me when your animal is ready to head home!

No refunds since this is a custom order and I will have cut your items.

I really encourage you to have the items ready to send when you make your purchase. This will allow me plenty of time for processing!

These animals are intended to be a keepsake and not play toys.

I'm honored that you've chosen me to create this sweet memory squirrel!

*** please note that I will do my best to get the whole image from a garment onto the animal. Some may be on the front as the pieces are fairly small and some may be on tail. No matter, animal will be created in the best way possible :) <3

This squirrel is perfect. We'll made and larger than I expected! I just love it... it brought a tear to my eye as the shirt belonged to my late husband... the acorn accent made it extra special!

I ordered two stuffed squirrels, each holding an acorn, made from my late husband's shirts. I only ordered one at first, but because there was enough fabric left to make two, I quickly ordered a second one. The squirrels sit next to each other in my home, as a precious reminder of my dear husband and the times we would sit on the back porch feeding and watching the squirrels in our back yard. I highly recommend this artist who was delightful to work with. Both the artist and her beautiful creations have blessed me tremendously! I was thrilled with her work and you, no doubt, will be too!

Jaynie was able to make a set of two squirrels holding acorns from my recently deceased husband's shirts. He and I used to enjoy watching the squirrels in our backyard, so having those cute little stuffed animals to look at made from his shirts warms my heart and eases the heartache I feel over my loss of him. They make me smile and have brightened my days! I highly recommend Jaynie and her creations! You'll be so very pleased with her work and the care she takes with her items as well as with her customers. Thank you Jaynie for the two squirrels you made for me; I'll treasure them always!
