THIS IS THE DIAMOND SHAPE LOOM THAT IS USED IN GRETA HOLMSTROM'S STAR SHAWL IN LITTLE LOOMS FALL 2023.
The Original Diamond is a pin loom to weave diamond or rhombus shapes with a wide angle (60°) that in crafting is often referred to as "tumbling block". The sides measure slightly over 2", designed to work perfectly together with any other "Original" TURTLE looms.
This listing is for the "F" fine sett, for sock/fingering weight yarns. It takes about 3.2 yards to weave one diamond.
Use the bias weaving method, similar to weaving squares or the first part of a hexagon, to weave a diamond in just minutes.
The Original Diamond can be used on its own to make shapes like stars or tumbling blocks. It can also be used in combination with hexagons, jewels, and other shapes. All "Original" TURTLE looms are designed to work together perfectly.
The loom is made of quality Birch plywood, finished beautifully with two coats of traditional clear Shellac, sealed with satin Poly. This loom has headless pins and loom information stamped on the back.
The loom kit contains:
1 Original Diamond "fine-sett" loom
Your choice of weaving tools (see below)
