Medium High Bright Lazy Susan
Medium High Bright Lazy Susan
Vintage from the 1990s
This is my “Medium High Bright” lazy susan. The measurements are 15 1/2” across (17” tip to tip) and is 2” high. This lazy susan has 8 kinds of wood, all the natural colors. There are 464 pieces in the overlay, 136 diamonds and 328 triangles. The “Exotic” wood on this lazy susan makes it have the same price as one of my large lazy susans. The type of wood used is listed on the bottom from the center out. On this lazy susan, starting from the center is “Pink Ivory” from South Africa, “Ebony” from West Africa, “Tulipwood” from Brazil, “Purpleheart” from Central or South America, “Satinwood” from Brazil, “Honduras Rosewood” from Honduras, “Canary wood” from South America, then “Walnut” from Missouri.
The pattern is based on the “Lone Star” quilt pattern. The design extends over the edge to within ¼” of the table top it sits on. The stationary base is hidden on the inside, behind the edge.
This is “Medium High Bright Lazy Susan” #116. It was made in 1998. On the bottom I signed it, listed the wood, and dated it. After the date the words “Foot Cut” let you know I made it on my foot powered table saw.
The steel ball bearings are quiet and smooth working. The lazy susan will rotate at the touch of a finger.

The carpenter wheel is one of my favorite quilts. Love this wooden quilt block trivet!!
Our lazy Susan arrived today. It is even more gorgeous in person than the photos can show. And after looking at literally hundreds, maybe thousands, of these, I am so happy to have "found" you. The price is really wonderful for such a solid, beautifully crafted piece of art. I am already planning my holiday gift-giving, which will include your beautiful work. Thank you so much.
I LOVE IT!! This box is absolutely beautiful! I loved it in the picture but honestly the picture just isn't even close to how beautifully crafted it is. The different woods blend so well, its hard to believe they are all pieces of different trees. The differing colors compliment each other incredibly well and I can already see that over time the colors will only become more rich.
I am in love with my beautiful piece from Robin Tucker! I can not stop looking at it and have had many comments already and I've only had it in my possession for 2 days. Proud to have a small piece of Missouri crafted by the artisan hands of Robin in my home in Australia.
