This authentic Indian madras sport jacket from the 1950s is a beautiful example of the patina that madras develops when exposed to sunlight. The essence of summer casual. Guaranteed to bleed.

The fabric is a handwoven bleeding madras in faded pinkish red, brown, gray and gold.

The jacket has a sack front without darts, natural shoulder, three-button fastening rolled to the middle button, narrow lapels, hooked center vent, flapped hip pockets, and butterfly lining for extra coolness and air flow. The metal blazer buttons read "George VI King Emperor" with George VI in profile.

Made in the USA by Sanger. Measures approximately a 42R.
PLEASE NOTE: This size is an estimate for reference only. Please compare measurements with a well-fitting jacket to ensure a proper fit.

Jacket Measurements
Armpit to armpit: 22.5
Shoulder seam to seam: 18
Sleeve length from shoulder seam to cuff: 25.25
Length from top of collar to bottom hem: 32.5

Condition: Excellent Condition. The uneven fade and irregularities in the weave are desirable characteristics of real Indian madras from this era. No holes, rips or stains.
