Micaceous Cookware Southwestern Pottery, Santa Fe Bean Pot is handcoiled in the traditional coil and scrape method, I don't use a wheel in the creation of my pieces. This pot can be used for all sorts of cooking your favorite dishes in and then serving it straight to the table. I can personally vouch for how good food tastes when cooked in micaceous pots. A customer said that once the food is cooked, you could keep it hot with a match flame - that's how well the pot retains heat.

Measurements: 9" wide handle to handle, 8" high, and holds 4.5 quarts.

Thanks for stopping by and please convo/email me with any questions.

Best, Rhonda

P.S. Variations are typical for this style of handmade pottery. Imperfections from deviations in clay mineral content may result in some surface blemishes. I like to think these variations are part of the pot's charm but please know that I take every precaution I can to ensure the pieces are well constructed. Note that discoloration to the bottom of a piece may develop when used over fire creating a lovely patina; this is due to the natural part of the maturation process. Since micaceous cookware is semi-porous, pieces can also take on a patina from food cooked and served in it; this is to be expected.

I ship all my pieces individually bubble wrapped nestled in shipping peanuts, double boxed, and insured, delivery confirmation with signature required. No item has broken yet. One of my customers said that my packaging could survive the rapture! I include instructions for curing & caring as well as fascinating historical and regional information. Recipes included too. Signed by me, the artist. Please go look at my policies so you can get more information on ordering from my shop. Sorry, display items not included. (53)
