This chartpack contains patterns for creating three unique towel designs. The designs are worked on huck toweling, using DMC pearl cotton thread #5. Embroidery floss and crochet thread could also be used. Finished size of towel is about 16" X 22".
These towels are quick and easy and the designs can also be used to make runners, table toppers, valances, curtains, placemats and more. The pattern you will receive includes basic instructions and clear charts for making these designs.
Towels were one of the first items to have Swedish Weave or huck embroidery, as it is also known, added to them. This needlework was used, in the beginning, to embelish simple white linens.
Like most Swedish weave or huck embroidery designs, this pattern is suited for everyone from the beginner to the more advanced stitcher. Although it looks difficult, this form of needlework is one of the easiest to master and stitchers of any age will enjoy learning this almost lost needlework artform.
