THE MANDALA OF KALI (TROMA NAGMO)

The Black Goddess of Time

º••••• ●●♥●● •••••º

Mandalas are geometric representations of energy. Sometimes energy manifests and is envisioned by us in human form, and in others, in geometric, mathematical forms, such as in mandalas or yantras.

Kali brings the death of the ego as the illusory self-centered view of reality. She is said to inhabit cremation grounds -places where the ego can get a little shaky staring at the face of death, and devotees often go to these places to meditate and call on her. The more a person identifies with their ego, the more fierce Kali looks - but she is actually fiercely loving, working to help us find freedom. Troma Nagmo is her name in Tibetan. She is the central deity in the Chod Pacification of Suffering Practice.

●♥● NOTE: Sizes are approximate. Please wait to buy a frame until you have the art in hand. Framed examples included in listing images are included to give you ideas on how you might frame your purchase, but I don't sell framed prints unless one is specifically listed on a drop down menu.

●♥● A WORD ABOUT ARCHIVAL GICLÉE PRINTS : Artwork is scanned via what looks like a really big "camera"/computer and then printed with a sophisticated inkjet printer, which is 6 feet wide, onto artists' archival heavyweight watercolor paper. This makes the most crisp accurate print available in fine art printing technology. People often mistake the prints for actual paintings.

All of Laura Santi's creations are STUNNING! I have ordered 4 pieces in total from her and I treasure each and every one. They are imbued with devotion and I love how she fuses the traditional with a more contemporary feeling. I would buy them all if I could. Thank you Laura for sharing your art.

All of Laura's work is amazing, and for me this piece in particular is very special. The quality of these giclée prints is really exceptional: the crisp detail, the paper quality, everything is phenomenal. It's an honor and a deep gift to have this sacred iconography as a central part of my home altar and practice space.
