"Would it please you to hear a story, my lord?" --The Thousand and One Nights

Shahrazad II is paper mache with chiffon covering the whole front of the mask, veil-like. The accenting purple ribbons and gemstones came from a necklace and earring set that broke. (The fate of most of my broken jewelry--ends up on a mask...) She has a tiny silver crown as a symbol of her royalty. This mask can be hand-held or hands-free (the purple ribbons clasp around the back of the head) and is lined with grey cotton for comfort and support.

This mask was inspired by a previous mask made by a friend. Out of respect to Emily, then, I've named it Shahrazad II. (I don't really know that hers was named Shahrazad I, but that's what it reminded me of.)
