Our British Butterflies artwork is the perfect gift for nature lovers. This butterfly print brings the magic of these insects back to your home in an elegant vintage illustration. It features all original illustrations, hand drawn in ink, and watercolour washed by our studio in a style inspired by timeless natural history scientific illustrations, where science and art meet.
The art print is a perfect butterfly guide, featuring some iconic species found across Britain & Ireland - and beyond. The 11 individual drawings include famous butterflies like Red Admirals and Peacocks, common species like Small White & Meadow Brown, alongside the UK's largest butterfly: the Swallowtail. This illustrated print is a love letter to these beautiful insects, and the entomologist within you, making for an ideal home gift for any space.
The prints are available on a beautiful earth-friendly recycled matt paper weighted at 290 gsm (our standard finish), which has a subtle matt sheen, and feels luxuriously heavy on the touch. It’s also available for your wall as a gallery standard giclée print on 300 gsm photo rag (our superior finish). This sophisticated finish uses archival ink, which makes it fade-resistant, so it’ll sing for decades to come.
As for sizing, the prints are available in the following options:
A4: 210 x 297 mm
A3: 297 x 420 mm
