Introducing my Medieval Lady Journal. Do you love Medieval history? Are you devoted to historical novels or films depicting that most mysterious of eras? Do you yearn for courtly love, the language of flowers, secret passageways and knot gardens made from fragrant boxwood?

Medieval history has always fascinated me. I have long been pondering how to interpret this fascinating time in an Art Journal. Several customers have asked me to make a medieval journal.

This lovely journal features the line drawings of the great Hans Holbein along with other medieval paraphernalia. As I was creating it, gazing at the faces of Lady Parker, Surry and Ratclif, I could not help notice they were mere girls! What would they have recorded about their lives in a journal such as this?

The journal has many special features: Delicate ruffles of crepe paper hand torn and aged. There are word flags which reflect on the language of flowers, a secret pocket filled with many journalling cards and a separate, removable, high quality kraft journal for longer passages.

Take this with you on your trip to visit the landmarks of Medieval England, or France or Italy and Spain.

One page pays homage to Shakespeare with a quote from Romeo and Juliet. The spine is embellished with jeweled brads and the cover has many 3-D features such as raised corner blocks and a mysterious lock.

All papers in this journal are my original designs using images I have leased or been given with permission. It measures 8" x 6" - Done in colors of russet, beige and green. Muted and mysterious. The perfect place to keep your secrets. A wonderful gift for a history lover or literature lover.

All of my journals are made with high quality card stock. My covers are constructed with chip board and my spines are also reinforced with this material as well. I often am told by customers that they are surprised by the quality of my journals when they receive them, "better than the picture" is a phrase they often use. I think you will find that you will be pleasantly surprised by the high quality.

All of my handmade journals will take up to 15 business days to construct, depending on my order back log. I work full time and most of the journal construction is done on Saturdays and Sundays, while drying time in the book press takes place throughout the week. Please message me about possible rush construction, as this will take a minimum of four days.
