Description

Stella is a sweet mama owl. She’s sewn from a single fat quarter of quilting cotton with a few extra accent fabrics. Her wings have small squares of Velcro sewn in so that she can hug her little owlet close. Make a rainbow of owls and give them to all your special friends. Happy sewing!

This listing is for a digital PDF sewing pattern. It will be emailed to you immediately after purchase.

Like all of my patterns, this sewing pattern includes step-by-step photos, written instructions, and full-sized templates that you can print over and over again. You'll be able to easily make this adorable owl and owlet for gifts or for yourself! The finished toy will be approximately 10 inches tall x 8 inches wide.

To make Stella the Owl and her Owlet you'll need:

-a fat quarter of quilting cotton
-scrap quilting fabrics for her wings and feet
-a scrap of white quilting cotton for her eyes
-black embroidery floss
-5 ounces of polyfill stuffing
-scraps of felt in yellow and white for the beaks and the owlet's eyes
-a 3/4" square of velcro
-double-sided fusible web, 4" x 8" piece
-lightweight fusible interfacing, 15" x 10" piece
-coordinating thread

This sewing pattern is best suited for advanced beginners who already know how to sew a straight stitch on their sewing machines, how to baste, and how to do some simple hand stitching. If you've made a softie or two before, you're ready for this pattern!
