Seller's description

Crochet your own realistic banana and banana peel with this detailed crochet pattern.

This project is carefully-designed and worked end to end (rather than in the round) to create a natural-looking banana skin. It's a fun project for yarn bombing, children's toys, play food or a bold fruit-themed centrepiece.

★ ---What’s Included --- ★
• 22-page crochet pattern (digital download).

With this pattern you can make both a whole banana and an empty banana peel.

This pattern is available in both UK and US crochet terminology, presented in two entirely separate documents. Both will be available to you after purchase - just choose whichever you prefer to use. A French language version is also included.

All my patterns come with my full support if you have any questions.

*Important feature of my crochet patterns*
My crochet patterns include BOTH a detailed 'tutorial-style' set of instructions with colour photos AND a succinct unillustrated pattern using standard crochet notation. The document is structured so that the succinct version, with an area for your own notes, is on a single page, making it easy for quick reference on the move.

★ ---What You Will Need --- ★
Clear advice is included in the pattern about the best yarn choices for this project.

You can make your bananas any size you like according to the yarn and hook you choose.

For an approximately life-sized banana (16cm or 6.25inches) you will need double-knitting (DK, light worsted weight, Category 3) yarn in the following quantities:
• 27m (30yards) of yellow; and
• 1.5m (2yards) of brown.

You will also need:
• stuffing material
• a 3.5mm (US E-4) crochet hook
• a blunt yarn needle
• sharp scissors

★ ---How Easy is this Pattern? --- ★
🟪 This is an advanced crochet pattern. It contains some unusual stitches and techniques, including the i-cord technique. You need to be confident keeping count of your stitches even when they are hard to see. You need to be able to keep a consistent tension when working with a range of different stitches.

All unusual stitches and techniques are fully explained in the pattern and the pattern contains a detailed tutorial on the i-cord technique if this is new to you. All my crochet patterns are illustrated with detailed photographs and contain extra tips and explanations to make everything as clear as possible.

All my patterns come with my full e-mail support if you have any questions.
