Description

Vintage 80s Acrylic Christmas Ornament depicting nativity scene.

"This fine ornament was designed and created by the distinguished Swedish sculpturer Lars Svenson. It is an original and exclusive design used only as a model for the 1981 mold.

A master engraver then cut the pattern into a block of solid tempered steel. Only hand tools were used so that the fine details incorporated in the original could be authentically reproduced. It was all accomplished with a hammer, chisel and a graver, a special engraving tool with a ball-like wooden handle that gouges, scrapes and cuts intricate designs when used by a trained craftsman. After his work was approved by the artist for its authenticity, the original art was destroyed to prevent any other use.

The ornament itself is individually molded out of crystal clear unbreakable acrylic... the finest material of its kind available. Streams of light radiate off its prismatic surface and edges. It is truly a gift to be treasured as part of the great Christmas Tradition."

Comes complete with original gold box, draw-string pouch, and paperwork with the above description. Looks great...

Box measures roughly 4.5" x 3.75"
