Description

Monet's Lily Pad Earrings, with blue Murano Glass, and silver foil inside. Each handmade, lampworked Venetian, square shaped bead is 16x16mm. The pink and white rose designs, along with the teal "lagoon" green and white leaves, are applied by hand, under the flame; hence the name: "lampworked Venetian Beads". Beads are accented with silver bead caps, and faceted light blue crystals. Earrings are wire wrapped by hand, and shown with sterling silver wires. You may also order them with posts or clips; just let me know.

Just a note about the artist, Claude Monet, to which I am paying homage to, by having these Venetian Glass, "Monet" style Beads hand made in Venice, Italy, in honor of him, and his "lily pad" series of paintings.

Claude Monet, Born Oscar Claude Monet (November 14, 1840 to December 5, 1926).
He was a founder of French impressionist painting, and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement's philosophy of expressing one's perceptions before nature, especially as applied to plein-air landscape painting. The term Impressionism is derived from the title of his painting "Impression, Sunrise" (Impression, soleil levant).

Monet was fond of painting controlled nature: his own gardens in Giverny, with its water lilies, pond, and bridge.

Between 1883 and 1908, Monet traveled to the Mediterranean, where he painted landmarks, landscapes, and seascapes, such as "Bordighera". He painted an important series of paintings in Venice, Italy.
