This guide contains enough material to cover TWO terms' worth of Composer Study--one for now and one for several years down the road when your kids are older, and it's time to revisit the music of this great composer a second time. I'll share insights and stories into his music that will help you form connections with the music of Beethoven as we cover two terms' worth of music for Composer Study in this 21-page guide.
This digital download is written in the style of a living book, as encouraged by Charlotte Mason.
It contains a short biography of Beethoven, short narratives, and discussion suggestions for six of his compositions for each term.
It does not include any music, BUT a list of the songs studied is included with LINKS to ALL the songs on Amazon and my YouTube playlist. It also features QR codes to take you to each piece on YouTube.

In my Charlotte Mason co-op, part of my role is to lead Composer Study. As I began to research more about each composer and their compositions and began to form connections with the pieces, I longed to find a way to share the stories and connections with the children and mothers in our co-op. Thus, I began compiling these Composer Study Guides. I am working to make each guide MY narration of what I am learning about each composer and their compositions. These guides are easy to use and designed to work with short lessons Mason emphasized in her philosophy of education.
