CONDITION: The dust jacket has a big chunk missing plus some smaller tears and some marks, otherwise the book is in good condition. DESCRIPTION: It was published by Sampson Low, Marston & Company, Limited, circa 1948. There are 128 pages. The Contents are: The Empire's Family; Twenty-Five Years Ago; Foundations of a Reign; The King Who Knows His Kingdoms; The Throne; The King At War, With the Queen at His Side; Post-War Leadership, King and Queen and People; Family Life at Buckingham Palace. The book measures 24.5 cm in length (just over 9 and 1/2 inches), and 18.9 cm wide (a little under 7 and 1/2 inches).
