This book is truly a piece of history and would make a tremendous gift for the Holiday Season.

This listing is for a 1890 edition of the highly influencial book, "Uncle Tom's Cabin" by Harriet Beecher Stowe. This book changed American history unlike any book ever published. It certainly intensified the sectional conflict over African American slavery which eventually led to the Civil War only nine years after it's original publishing in 1852.

It has a chocolate brown linen cover with engraved detailing. The book is in over all good condition, considering it is 118 years old. The front page is inscribed, "Katherine Klien, Grim's Independent School 1899." This book is SUCH a treasure...

This exact edition retails for $75.00 on www.rubylane.com (while first editions are much more valuable, nearing the $1,000.00 range).
