This gorgeous handcrafted and polished piece of carved wood art made in Bomba, Belize by a small group of individuals. These lustrous mahogany bowls have recently been sold in exchange for solar power from the company Grid Earth who resells the bowls to provide money to help grow Bomba's economy and ability to remain off the grid.

This bowl is made from fallen hardwood (mahogany) an artisan in the village hand carves the fallen wood to the shape the wood was meant to hold. A true work of polished art is left behind for clients to purchase and cherish for years to come.

This bowl would make a great fruit bowl, chip and dip, appetizer serving platter, potpourri pot, or just for display.

Condition: This is a vintage Bomba bowl--Some utensil wear and natural wood grain irregularities. This was a well loved piece. (See photos).

Care: Occasionally oil wood. Do not leave wet food in bowl for a length of time. When cleaning, use Murphy Soap then oil, or something similar.

Measures: 12" by 12", inner circle: 5" x 4.5"
