Description

Cute torso shaped bud vase in hip, bright colors plus gray and taupe each with thin, raised white stripes. Ideal for tiny displays of fresh sprigs from the garden on your desk top, kitchen window, bathroom or where ever a little splash of life will pick you up! Easy to travel with hostess gift.

These bud vases were originally called "wedding bud vases", designed them at the request of the bridal dept. of Barneys NY in Japan. It is a Japanese tradition for the bride and groom to give their guest gifts. They wanted a certain number of similar items in a size and price range. These little bud vases are the result, both handmade and personal. They make lovely gifts to bridesmaids and other special people involved with your wedding.

Each original form was hand pinched in clay and then made into a mold to be slip cast. This method creates a delicately textured surface that reflects light and gives the piece a singular beauty with or without flowers in it. The white stripes are squeezed from a tube and also add texture to this tactile object.

If a color is out of stock, you can request a custom order for that color.

Each vase comes wrapped in gray gift tissue and is sealed with an orange VIT sticker. If you would like the gift box package, Just ask. Its free!
