*vintage late 1950s to early 1960s hand painted floral print dress from Harvey Berin designed by Karen Stark

*The fabric is totally covered in painted purple roses on a bluish purple background. You can feel that it has been painted by the texture of the fabric

*the dress has a unique neckline that is fashioned to lay flat in the center but to give the illusion of halter style straps on the sides

*it is sleeveless with a fitted bodice that ends in a waistline that has a slight upward curved v-shape at the center front

*the interior of the bodice has a white satin lining that gives shape to the dress's unique neckline, very nice high-end designer touch

*at the center front of the skirt are three inverted pleats with one inverted pleat in the back, this give the skirt its full shape but keeps it laying somewhat flat over the hip area

*the entire dress is lined in a lightweight cotton fabric, the pinked center back seam is stay stitched along the edges-another quality detail only found in high quality clothing

*the dress fastens with a center back metal zipper topped off with a hook & eye

*the fabric is difficult to determine with the painted surface, it may have a slight bit of stretch but due to the cotton lining it does not really stretch at all

*label:designer label reads Harvey Berin designed by Karen Stark and the store label reads B Altman & Co Fifth Ave, New York.

*Condition*
The dress is in excellent condition. It presents as fresh & clean with no stains, rips, or other concerns to note. I have not had it cleaned as I do not have a dry cleaner I can trust with a dress of this caliber.

*Size* fits like an XS to S
the tag reads size 10 however, please go by the measurements listed below to determine fit as vintage sizes are NOT the same as today's sizes

Measurements are:
bust:36"
waist:25 1/2" max
hip:38"
total length:41"

I recommend that you measure an actual garment that fits you well and compare the measurements for the best fit.
Remember that the measurements measure the garment, not the person wearing it, leave 1-2" of ease for the proper fit.
